Title: Yamane Problems! Centering the Lens AND Glaucoma MIGS Surgery!
Author: Austin S. Nakatsuka, MD
Date: 11/03/2024
Brief Description: In this video, I do a concurrent MIGS glaucoma surgery in the angle. I use the Streamline injector to do a viscocanulostomy and/or goniotomy just prior to fixating the lens with the Yamane scleral fixated haptic technique. We then do the Yamane technique and I have to do a slight adjustment to the lens to make sure it is centered. In this instance, I cut the haptic a bit shorter on one side and re-flange (melt) it and it centers very well.
