Diagnosis: Susac Syndrome
Brief Description: This is a case report of a middle-aged female who presented with unilateral vision loss. She had ascending weakness, hearing loss, gait problems, and other systemic neuro problems. A branch retinal artery occlusion was identified on fluorescein angiogram. A description of the etiology and discovery of Susac’s is presented. Presenting signs and symptoms are discussed and treatment is described. The classic triad of multiple BRVO’s, hearing loss, and neurologic signs is discussed.
