For our international ophthalmology colleagues, the Moran CORE resources have been listed alphabetically, and in a framework similar to the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) curriculum outline. This ICO curriculum is based on analysis of ophthalmology training systems from more than 30 countries. It is a broad-based curriculum, structured for basic, standard, advanced, and very advanced levels of ophthalmic training. While this ICO curriculum provides a standardized content outline for ophthalmic training. It has also been designed to accommodate revision, modification and implementation by local and regional educators.

CORE is a unique collection of ophthalmic education resources. Moran Eye Center ophthalmology specialists agreed to share their more than 250 resident lectures in this CORE open-source forum. These lectures are given during the first two years of residency at Moran, and are being downloaded each week for CORE users worldwide. The goal of CORE is to be a boundary-free, permanent learning and reference tool, at no cost to the user.

Videos and medical photography for the CORE website is collected on an ongoing basis from 7,000+ yearly surgeries and 100,000+ yearly patient visits to the Moran Eye Center.
