Keywords/Main Subjects:  DIO (Direct-Indirect Ophthalmoscopy). Fundoscopic Exam. Novel technique of indirect ophthalmoscopy using direct ophthalmoscope and +13 Diopter hand-held lens.

Summary of the Case:

We propose a novel technique of indirect ophthalmoscopy which uses the direct ophthalmoscope and +13 Diopter hand-held lens. In our experience, the technique is easy to learn, is well tolerated by the patient an examiner, and does not require dilation. The hand held lens is inexpensive and easily portable
