Brief Description: This is a case presentation of a young adult male with a significant history of illegal drug use who presented with a unilateral “black spot” in vision. Visual fields showed homonymous hemanopia and patient exhibited signs of encephalopathy. Ring-enhancing lesions were seen on MRI and a differential of ring-enhancing lesions is given. A discussion of the history, diagnosis, clinical course, prognosis, and treatment of ADEM is discussed.

Brief Description: This is a case study of a 30 female who has a history of blindness in one eye from infancy and a large white mass in the blind eye and a capillary hemangioma on her face. Ultrasound of the globe and lesion with diagnostic A-scan and B-scan is discussed in detail by Roger Harrie. A differential for vascularized masses of the retina and leukocoria is presented. Each item of the differential is discussed, with attention to retinal capillary hemagioma.
