Brief Description: This is a presentation of new techniques and recent research in cataract surgery. The specific techniques and modifications discussed are as follows: Corneal marking for rhexis size, pre-chop and ultra-chop, hurricane/oblique I&A, anterior capsule sweeping, and intra-cameral antibiotics. Logical reasons for each of these techniques are presented in a discussion format and benefits of each of these interventions are discussed.
