Diagnosis: Endogenous endophthalmitis
Brief Description: This is a case presentation of an older male with poorly controlled diabetes who presented with 3 days of dark floaters, decreased vision, and eye pain. On examination, this patient had anterior uveitis, keratic precipitates, and posterior uveitis. A discussion of the differential diagnosis for panuveitis in a poorly controlled diabetic is presented. This patient was diagnosed with endogenous endophthalmitis and a extensive discussion of the pathogenesis, organisms, clinical course, and treatment of endogenous endopthalmitis are presented.
