- Anterior, slit lamp, and posterior segment examination for common extra- and intraocular tumors – including transillumination
- Recognize intraocular tumors and refer accordingly

- Describe indications for, and perform, examination under anesthesia (EUA) for pediatric patients,
- Use diagnostic A-scan and B-scan echography to identify tumors
- Use fluorescein angiography to evaluate intraocular tumors
- Recognize major histopathologic features of intraocular tumors
- Discuss treatment options with patients and families in a detailed, ethical, and compassionate manner.
- Perform a simple enucleation
Year Three

- Uncommon intraocular tumors
- Uncommon extraocular tumors
Technical Education
Describe and treat tumors of the following:
- Ocular surface and cornea
- Conjunctival resection
- Antimetabolite therapy to the ocular surface
- Cornea
- Iris (iridectomy, iridocyclectomy)
- Intraocular tumors
- Laser photocoagulation
- Cryotherapy
- Transpupillary thermotherapy
- Plaque radiation
- External beam radiotherapy
- Perform complex enucleation (e.g. complicated by hemorrhage, scar tissue, etc…)
- Perform exenteration
